One second you're gushing over photos of your best friend's new baby, the next you're buying a $200 wool coat from J. Crew. Relatable? Double tap on that.
Instagram's shopping feature has 90 million accounts tapping on products tagged in posts every month. But here's the catch: More users are now viewing Instagram Stories than ever before. 400 million accounts globally are flipping through stories, with one third of those stories coming from business accounts.
Don't fret—Insta has your back. “Businesses using shopping on Instagram can now use product stickers in Instagram Stories in addition to product tags in Instagram posts,” announced Instagram on Tuesday.
Instagram is also testing a Shopping channel on the Explore page for users who have demonstrated interest in shopping on Instagram, giving businesses the opportunity reach audiences outside current followers in a channel personalized to each shopper's style and taste.
